WCC is attending a resource conference sponsored by the Jewish Community Center of Staten Island and Congressman Dan Donovan's office (11th District). This event will provide numerous resources for older adults within the community. There will be approximately 30 organizations tabling at this event. WCC plans to provide comprehensive information and network with attendees about current WCC training programs.

11:00 am: Training @ Latin African American Chaplain Association (L.A.C.A.)

Emotional Resiliency Training for Pandemic & Ebola Disaster Workers & Volunteers (Parts III & IV)
WCC will be providing the second part of its Advanced Level Emotional Resiliency Training to the Latin African American Chaplain Association (L.A.C.A.). This training will go over helpful measures and support mechanisms to stay more resilient. The training will end with information on journaling and an end-of-course review. L.A.C.A. and its chaplains are prepared to deal with issues surrounding the need of public servants, such as policemen, firemen and healthcare workers. WCC is hoping to partner with L.A.C.A. on a regular basis to provide Disaster Preparedness & Volunteer Safety Training supporting L.A.C.A. and their constituents.
