nA solo concert by Doug Theriault, an incredible instrument designer and musician from Portland, Oregon. Working with a reconfigured guitar/controller and audio software, Doug creates music that is exquisitely dense and musical recalling the work of Yasunao Tone and Xenakis with it's intense architecture, fragmentation, and physicality. Tandem Electrics is a New York electronics duo with Richard Kamerman and Reed Evan Rosenberg on electronics and programming. Their music is beautiful. Also, tonight a very rare meeting of ALBERTJZ, having not played together since the 2006 recording of their recent 4.5 hour release on Rasbliutto/Set-Projects. The strings and electronics quartet will play an entirely improvised, and shorter, piece of music.nnDoug Theriault (guitar, max/msp) [from Portland, Oregon]nnTandem Electrics [duo from nyc]nnWith: nnAndrew Lafkas (doublebass) [nyc]nBryan Eubanks (electronics) [nyc]nRachel Thompsen (violin)[fromVirgina]nJonathan Zorn(supercollider)[fromVirgina]nnCost: $5n
