ReadyResponders Network

The ReadyResponders Network™ (RRN) is a collaborative information sharing portal created in partnership with the World Cares Center, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering local communities to take proactive and effective action during times of disaster; the Department of Defense Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration (OASD/NII); and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL).

As disaster preparedness and emergency response has increasingly come to the forefront of community life, the purpose of the RRN is two fold: (1) to empower Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) including Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), International Organizations (IOs) to be self sufficient in leading their communities’ preparedness, response and recovery initiatives; and (2) to bridge the communication and information sharing divide between those tasked with managing a response and those that may be able to assist.

Ultimately World Cares Center seeks to achieve a safer, more effective way in which affected communities may proactively work with leadership to enhance their community’s response, resiliency and recovery from any disaster, whether it be natural or manmade.

Today World Cares Center administers the Ready Responders Network freely to all community members and groups interested in disaster preparation, mitigation, response and resilient recovery.

Once you go through a simple log in process you can join a group, blog on issues, develop your personalized preparedness plans and more.

The Ready Responders Network is a powerful tool when utilized in conjunction with World Cares Centers Disaster Preparation and Trauma Mitigation Training programs.

We invite you to join the network and grow with us.
