Michael Ayoub will work with each Firefighter to take their dish up a notch at Fornino Pier 6 Brooklyn Bridge Park and brought to you via a live stream aired on October 25th. Michael is a Brooklyn native and chef for over 45 years. Michael, known for such renowned restaurants as Skaffles and Cucina, was destined to bring his wood-fired pizza concept to Brooklyn. Taken from his mother’s maiden name, Fornino or Little Oven expresses Michael’s true calling, combining his love of pizza with his decades of culinary experience. The heat from the custom-built wood-burning ovens that reach 900 Degrees was not hot enough for Michael. When not dreaming up culinary wonders, he takes his talents to even higher temperatures…as an accomplished glass artist.”
Firefighter Ron Venner
A 16 1/2 year veteran with the FDNY at Engine 42 in the Bronx. He’s maintained his love for cooking from childhoold and it only increased once he became a firefighter. Ron is competed for 2nd time at ISCO 2020 honoring his mother-in-law through his dish.

Firefighter Vincent DeGennaro
The winning dish for the Iron Skillet Cook Off winner for 2019, was Firefighter Vincent DeGennaro, Engine 10 Ladder 10, Manhattan. Vincent created delicious Seared Scallops in a Tomato Relish.
Firefighter Pete Lazarcheck
The winner of the 2020 Iron Skillet Cook Off was Pete Lazarcheck, Brookly Bel Air, Engine 291, Ladder 140 (Retired). Pete created a truly memorable winning dish of Stuffed Pork Roll-Ups with Maderia Cream Sauce. Check this delicious recipe in our 20th Anniversary Iron Skillet Cook Book.
