THE READY RESPONDERS BOOTS ON THE GROUND EXERCISE

Saturday, April 30th, 2022

We will be holding our 5th Annual “Ready Responders Boots On the Ground Exercise (BOG-X). This event is designed to bring together Ready Responders to practice a Whole of Community (FEMA) approach to disaster response in a safe but physically challenging environment. This method enables everyday citizens a critical foundation to emerge together in a safe and coordinated way when a crisis happens.

WORLD CARES CENTER'S
20TH ANNIVERSARY DOCUMENTARY

September 9 & 10 | Three Events hosted by NYU,
John Jay, and John McKean

A story over triumph and tragedy followed by a Q&A with Founder Lisa Orloff & Professor Dr. Lucia Velotti, Department of Security,
Fire and Emergency Management.

Kirstin Cole of CW11 narrates the history of the World Cares Center, from citizens spontaneously helping, to the formation of September Space, a healing center that served over 45,000 rescue workers, survivors, & family members. The storyline continues with global responses & the programs that train citizens to emerge as disaster volunteers, & train leaders to manage crises including service-learning with John Jay College of Criminal Justice. This is a story of triumph over tragedy. The giving spirit of the 9/11 community lives on & impacts communities locally & around the world.
