Stars Under the Stars is World Cares Center’s annual signature fund raiser dedicated to honoring and supporting Ready Responders, those who step up in times of crisis to protect and serve their communities. Each year, this special evening brings together corporate leaders, community members, and disaster response advocates to celebrate resilience and raise critical funds for WCC’s mission. As disasters grow more frequent and devastating, Ready Responders selflessly step into danger to save lives and bring hope to those who need it most. Your support is more than just a donation, it’s a lifeline that equips these brave individuals with the essential training and resources to continue their heroic, life-saving work when every moment matters.
Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels, offering valuable brand exposure while directly contributing to training and equipping responders offering organizations the opportunity to align with a meaningful cause and make a lasting impact.
In a time when disruption and uncertainty have become constants, strong, forward-thinking leadership in resilience is essential. This year, World Cares Center is proud to honor Richard Cooper with the 2025 Ready Responder Lifetime of Leadership Award.
As the Global Head of Market Transformation at Fusion Risk Management, Richard leads efforts to help organizations around the world strengthen their operational resilience. With more than two decades of experience particularly in the financial sector, he has played a key role in guiding businesses through crisis, managing risk, and shaping more agile and responsive operations. As Global Head of Market Transformation at Fusion Risk Management, Richard has spent over 20 years helping organizations build stronger, more agile responses to crisis. But his impact goes far beyond his professional role he’s the founder of Copa Corazón, a soccer tournament uplifting underserved youth in Tijuana, and he and his wife have provided housing, land, and education for a displaced family from the Congo. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Richard embodies a lifetime of leadership through service and compassion.
Please join us in giving well-deserved recognition to Richard Cooper as we celebrate his extraordinary contributions at this year’s Stars Under the Stars.
Your support will help us train citizens to become ready responders, and support those on the front line of disaster response.
