World Cares Center began 2018 continuing our response to the 2017 hurricane season. From Hurricane Maria, to Hurricanes Florence and Michael, World Cares Center has been providing training in the classroom and in the field to volunteers responding to disaster, getting individuals far and near ready to respond through accessible online training, connecting survivors and supporters via the ReadyResponders Network, and supplying our Ready Responders with personal protective equipment.
In the last year, with your support, we have:
Distributed 1,500 hygiene and flood clean up kits
Sent 13,500 personal protective equipment items to protect volunteers responding to Hurricanes Maria, Florence and Michael
Trained 1,100 volunteers in safe and skilled response for the Guatemala Volcanic eruption, the Hurricanes in Puerto Rico, North Carolina, Florida, and more.
