Thursday, September 29th | 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
Please join World Cares Center on Thursday September 21st from 6:00-9:00pm on the Rooftop of Fornino, Pier 6, Brooklyn Bridge Park, as we celebrate World Cares Center’s Stars under the Stars of NYC.
The pandemic, the War on Ukraine, and climate change causing increased and severe weather events all pose significant risks to the safety of our families and neighborhoods. These repeated and increasingly more deadly disasters have put an unprecedented strain on our communities and our responders. We can no longer solely depend on our first responders to be there when needed. We must all be trained and prepared Ready Responders.
Preparing for disasters saves countless lives, speeds up people’s recovery and saves money. World Cares Center works to help at risk, underserved neighborhoods, leaders and volunteers improve their local preparedness and response capabilities—ultimately preventing and reducing the impacts of disasters on communities.
At the forefront of training and protecting individuals, leaders and groups, World Cares Center helps Ready responders take part in their own safety, response and recovery. Our programs are constantly evolving to meet the changing needs at home and abroad. We focus on working with local partners to building capacity and leave behind skilled responders with access to resource and support.
Join us to mix and mingle with our newest World Cares Center’s Board Members Patrick Alesi of Nomura Bank, Robert Fucito of Fanny Mae, and James Von Bischoffshausen of TD Bank. Talk with our Next Genr’s and learn about their newest initiatives. Help thank our volunteers and sponsors for their outstanding commitment to delivering our lifesaving programs.
Owner, Chef, and Iron Skillet Cook Off Master Chef Michael Ayoub will no doubt woo our senses with his culinary mastery. Some may recall last years delicacies including colossal grilled shrimp and Tito’s Watermelon Cosmo’s and of Course, Brooklyn Brewery beer. We cant wait to see what he has in store for us this year!
You can help deliver life saving programs where they are needed the most. Whether it is medical care and resiliency workshops in Ukraine or teaching disaster volunteers to deliver lifesaving CPR, the provision of free PPE or training local trainers, we work beside our local partners to ensure they are empowered with the knowledge and tools to take care of themselves and their neighbors when the worst happens.
Thank you for all that you have done and for your future support! Please see our sponsorship opportunities below or contact Lisa Orloff at (212) 563-7570 or [email protected]
