Your generosity and belief in our mission have made this day truly remarkable. Because of your kindness, more families will receive the tools and support they need to recover after a disaster. Your gift helps train Ready Responders, strengthen communities, and bring comfort, hope, and resilience to those facing hardship.

This Giving Tuesday reminded us of the incredible power of compassion and community. Together, we’ve proven that hope can thrive even in the most challenging times.

Thank you for standing with us, for believing in our work, and for being an essential part of the World Cares Center family.

Together, we prepare. Together, we respond.

Launched in 2001 to serve the families and survivors of 9/11, Hope, Love & Courage began as a “Band-Aid for healing.” Over the years, it has grown into a lifeline for thousands of survivors, caregivers, and responders coping with the emotional effects of disaster and trauma.

Through art therapy, storytelling, and shared community experiences, the program helps participants process grief, build resilience, and rediscover connection.

Today, Hope, Love & Courage extends its reach to families displaced by the war in Ukraine, offering them a safe, creative space to heal together. Each workshop nurtures emotional strength, belonging, and hope—reminding every participant that recovery begins with compassion.

“World Cares Center’s Hope, Love & Courage workshops have had a profound and lasting impact on Ukrainian families. These gatherings offered more than a creative outlet, they provided a much-needed space for reflection, expression, and healing. Through guided activities such as completing self-reflection booklets and contributing to a collaborative mural, participants experienced a sense of unity and shared purpose. Within this safe environment, families were able to process emotions, share their stories, and connect with others who truly understood their experiences. The workshops nurtured renewed courage and belonging, helping families navigate transition with greater confidence and strength. Many participants shared that the creative process and storytelling inspired healing and offered tools they continue to carry forward on their journeys”
