A state of emergency has been declared in Haiti after a major 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the country Saturday.

Tens of thousands of homes and infrastructures have been damaged. The death toll has climbed to 1,419, and more than 6,900 have been injured. The number of people who are missing is still unknown. Search and rescue efforts are still underway.

The additional damage and flooding that Tropical Depression Grace caused, only compounded the devastation that the Haitian people continue to experience.

World Cares Center’s Haiti team is conducting assessments of the hardest-hit villages so that we can have the most impact with our help.

We are currently collecting funds to support 133 families that have lost their homes and possessions.  World Cares Center is collecting monetary donations to provide them with food, shelter, clothing, and other basic necessities. Your contribution can go a long way to help those in need.
