On April 25th, in partnership with the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, we will be hosting the BOG X to trains- connects- brings together Ready Responders to practice a Whole of Community (FEMA) approach to disaster response. This enables everyday citizens a critical foundation to emerge together in a safe and coordinated way when a crisis happens.
This year we will host 200 citizens to practice running a Volunteer Reception Center in real-time; and volunteers will learn and practice flood response, fire safety, gas safety and stop the bleed.
The RRN BOG integrates World Cares Center’s core programs that close the gaps between training, communication, and execution, and provides an opportunity for EVERYONE to use their unique skill set in a community-based initiative.
If you are interested in participating, volunteering, or sponsoring, please contact Surujdai at implementation@worldcares.org
