World Cares Center rose from the ashes of 9/11, during a time when average New Yorkers volunteered side by side with rescue workers. In our efforts, we witnessed the impact of collaborative community, and the healing effect of food. The Iron Skillet® Cook Off celebrates the spirit of cooperation between first responders and community volunteers during times of crisis.
Iron Skillet® Cook-Off is a unique and exciting culinary competition between firefighters from each of New York’s five boroughs who are paired with some of the finest professional chefs in the area.
All proceeds benefit World Cares Center’s mission in empowering communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
